Sam McGlynn is a Vancouver-based commercial and film director with a background in high-end storytelling, real-time production, and cinematic worldbuilding. He served as Executive Creative Director at Method Studios and Company 3, where he led creative on game cinematics, virtual production, and VFX-driven content for global franchises including The Mandalorian, Call of Duty, and Star Wars.

Sam made his feature directorial debut with Deaner '89, a comedy that premiered in 115 Cineplex theatres across Canada and is now streaming on major platforms via Mongrel Media. The film received 7 Canadian Screen Award nominations, including the John Dunning Best First Feature Film Award.

He brings a unique mix of film sensibility, technical fluency (Unreal Engine, virtual production), and branded storytelling experience to every project. Sam specializes in commercials that combine cinematic style with emotional clarity, humour, and visual innovation
